Where's the content?

Try finding some vintage Vespa 2-stroke oil anywhere. This is probably the only tube left. You'll have to find my uncle, John F. the scooter mechanic, on Paisans dot org and try to convince him to sell it to you. He might. He also has quite a few other parts and things for vintage scooter motors, etc.

I'm very busy these days, but I'll try to get some more posts on here soon. BTW, John said that book that I posted earlier isn't the greatest and he doesn't recommend it. What do I know? He's the Scooter Guru, not me. I'm just a writer. I asked him which book he would recommend, and he said he hasn't written it yet. Hmmm....?

Here's some more pics....

Vyatka vs. Vespa

Ever heard of a Vyatka? Maybe, if you really know scooters. I never heard of them, but that's no surprise. They were the Soviet Union's answer to the Vespa. Even the logo style looks very similar only that it's Russian. I borrowed a couple pictures from the website, Real USSR, but you can read the entire article yourself if you're interested in seeing how a vintage Russian Vyatka Scooter stacks up to a classic Vespa. How to Restore and Maintain Your Vespa Motorscooter

I'm going to have to order this book tomorrow for sure. CLICK HERE

It's only 160 pages, but you can preview the first 22 pages on Amazon. You'll get the entire history of the Vespa Scooter from the Paparino to the P200E in a nutshell. I'm not able to reproduce the images due to the fact that I'm not allowed to, but it's all there if you follow the link. You can see a picture of that Paparino on page eleven. It's not so bad, especially when you compare it to all those plastic throw-away scooters that are being sold today, but I can see why they decided to go back to the drawing board. It looks a little weird compared to the vintage Vespas we are all used to seeing.
